Beauty Products ... Travel Light
Planning a trip abroad or a weekend away? These days we seen to lean towards lighter packing. Maybe a reflection of the pandemic has turned us all in to minimalists, but this is not a bad concept when traveling. In the past I have decanted my beauty products to all fit in one carry-all and have still ended up paying extra baggage fees. However, fast forward to 2022. When I'm trying to pare down my makeup for travel, I opt for beauty products that multi-task.
The one thing I always have in my makeup bag and the first thing I reach for when packing is a foundation and a matching concealer in one for a natural, beyond perfected look that lasts all day. Lightweight, moisturizing makeup covers thoroughly without clogging pores. Skin breathes comfortably, color stays true, even through sweat and humidity.
A full-face makeup pallette, loaded with brushes and eyeliner, can save lots of room in your bag. My personal favorite by Laura Mercier is a limited edition collection complete with 12 eye colors, three cheek colors and two cake eyelines, long wear creme eye pencil and two travel brushes.
To achieve that "vacation glow," be sure to include a primer/highlighter to your list. It luminizes skin with a veil of sheer, lit-from-within radiance creating an instant photo-filter effect that blurs imperfections and lights up skin with pearlescent luminosity. It’s the perfect glow-giver for skin that needs a boost of warmth and illumination. Preps and smooths your skin so foundation glides on beautifully and lasts longer, giving you a picture-perfect complexion.
I also add a combined makeup remover, cleanser and toner such as Arcona Triad facial pads. Cranberry Toner in convenient cotton pads helps cleanse, tone and hydrate, infusing skin with protective antioxidants to leave it glowing and refreshed. Removes dirt, oil and make-up. Helps protect and clarify skin with Cranberry Extract, containing vitamins, phytonutrients and essential fatty acids. Assists neutralizing free radicals with Grape Seed Extract. Nourish and restore skin with White Tea Extract and Rice Milk. These three bottles can be cumbersome and large. You are now down to one bottle, which saves bag and counter space, which can be limited while traveling.
Air travel and hot dry climates can leave your skin crying for moisture and hydration. Find a good oil that works double duty moisturizing not only your body but tames your frizzies and keeps your cuticles soft. This multi-tasking oil is an award-winning super lightweight body, hair and nail oil crafted with golden jojoba, coconut, lavender and natural flowers.
The combination of these multi-tasking products will not only lighten your load, they will streamline your routine while traveling, allowing for extra time to enjoy your vacation.
Bon Voyage and Safe Travels,
Shannon
